Coinage of photography terms in Khasi by Dr. Cherry Kharshiïng

Na ka bynta ban rakhe ïa kane ka sngi kine ki dei ki kyntien kiba la pynwan ban batai ïa ki kyntien kiba pher ba pher ha ka jylli jong ka jingshondur ne ka photography.


Ïa kine ki kyntien la saiñ da i Dr. Cherry Kharshiïng @cherrykharshiing iba dei i Head jong ka Mass Media Department ha St. Anthony's College, Shillong.



Today the 19th of August is World Photography Day! 📷 📸

To celebrate this day, here are some Khasi words which have been coined to describe the different kinds of photography in the world today.


These words have been coined by Dr. Cherry Kharshiïng @cherrykharshiing, who is the Head of the Mass Media Department in St. Anthony's College, Shillong.



Khublei Shibun Ma'am ba phi la phah ïa kine ki kyntien kiba phi la saiñ kum ki kyntien ban pynshai shaphang ki bunjait ki rukom shondur. 😄🙏 Kane kan nang pynïar ïa ka ktien Khasi jong ngi!
